Associate Director

Laura brings significant expertise in facilitation, social impact and collaborative, purposeful leadership to Pinnacle Group Australia. She has worked in diverse locations around the world, including Australia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. An experienced facilitator and people and strategy consultant, Laura brings her signature mix of energy, clarity, warmth and wisdom to all her work.

Background and experience:

Laura brings 15 years’ experience in social purpose work, in diverse locations including Australia, France, Sweden, South Africa, Mali, Liberia and Palestine. She has worked for major international organisations, including the United Nations and World Vision, where she was responsible for collaboration, advocacy and civil society partnerships in fragile and post-conflict countries. Since 2017, she has worked as a facilitator and people and strategy consultant in Melbourne, working with government, not-for-profit and private sector organisations.

Laura has experience supporting organisations to develop and execute strategy, build high-performing teams and align them to organisational purpose and strategy, and undertake complex stakeholder and community engagement. She is an experienced facilitator, with an Advanced Diploma in Group Facilitation (Groupwork Institute of Australia, 2018), and is committed to building effective relationships and holding space for courageous conversations.

Her project experience spans various sectors including government, local councils, not-for-profit organisations and corporate, and themes including community services and engagement, social justice, Aboriginal rights, refugee and migrant rights, multiculturalism, health, education, disability, infrastructure and the creative arts. She is particularly motivated by work that increases wisdom, wellbeing, inclusion and social justice.

Laura holds a Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University in Sweden, and a double Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and Arts (International Relations/Journalism) from the University of Queensland. She is an admitted lawyer and a John Monash Scholar.

Laura is passionate about learning, personal growth and connection. She is a lifelong traveller and speaks three languages at home (English, French and Italian) with her husband and daughter. Laura is mad about musical theatre and loves to sing and play piano (poorly). She is most at ease by the ocean with her journal, or around the dinner table with close friends.
